A virtual Inspired Christmas concert

For the second year, Arc Partnership was delighted to sponsor the Inspired Christmas Concert. Inspire has worked hard throughout the pandemic, adapting to library and centre closures, whilst continuing to provide their services to the community.

Despite the limitations caused by Covid-19, the much-anticipated concert, organised by Inspire: Culture, Learning and Libraries, working with National Youth Choirs GB, went ahead as a virtual event, allowing the singers to safely sing Christmas songs together.

With performances from local Nottinghamshire schools, Inspired Voices and a brand-new NHS online choir, the concert provided some much-needed festive cheer - and even a virtual sing-along!

Pupils from Minster School in Southwell sang a beautiful rendition of “In December”, while pupils at John Blow Primary and Abbey Primary sang together a wonderful version of “A Child’s Credo”, which they practiced in their class bubbles.

The NHS online choir, established this year with the aim to give staff a break from the pressures of working during the pandemic, performed two songs, including Carol of the Bells.

Arc sponsorship has enabled us to reach children and young people in a different capacity this year, which has been of vital importance

The Inspired Christmas Concert was a roaring success and we look forward to hearing (and hopefully watching in person) the choirs together again next year.
