Harmony House has been designed, project-managed and cost-managed by Arc Partnership on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council, with construction undertaken by delivery partner G F Tomlinson.

The centre will support safeguarding services, offering a safe, welcoming environment where children and young people cared for by the county council can enjoy supervised, quality family time with their birth families.

The purpose-built, energy-efficient facility replaces the nearby residential bungalows previously used for family time, which are no longer fit for purpose and will be demolished.

The project was completed by Arc Partnership, a joint venture between Nottinghamshire County Council and SCAPE, as part of its work to deliver high-quality public buildings that provide long-term value for communities.

Representatives from Arc Partnership joined Nottinghamshire County Councillors and colleagues from G F Tomlinson to celebrate the opening of Harmony House.

Nottinghamshire County Council Leader, Councillor Mick Barton, was delighted to celebrate the opening of Harmony House. He added:

“This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to creating the very best environments for children, young people, and families across Nottinghamshire.

“We are also grateful for all the hard work which has gone into this impressive new building.”

Councillor Rory Green, Cabinet Member for Children and Families, Nottinghamshire County Council, added:

“It is a fantastic, spacious building which provides a welcoming place for children and young people in our care and their families.

“We are really proud of this new building, as it’s a vital investment which will benefit those who really need a space like this, for generations to come.”
